All roads lead to the Old Township Stadium, Owerri, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, as Lightning Stars FC and St Patrick FC battle for honours in the grand finale of the maiden edition of the Dan Anyiam Memorial U-15 Football Tournament.

The eagerly anticipated final, scheduled to kick off at 3:00pm, promises to be a fitting climax to a competition that has not only produced exciting football but has also reaffirmed the importance of grassroots football development and talent discovery in Imo State and beyond.

Powered by a former football star, renowned businessman and philanthropist, Mr Anderson "WorldBest" Anyiam, CEO of WorldBest Pharmaceuticals, the tournament was conceived to immortalise the name and legacy of his late uncle, Dan Anyiam, Nigeria's first National Football Team captain and the formost Coach of the then Spartans FC of Owerri tht later metamorphosed to Iwuanyanwu National FC and now Hertland FC.

From the opening whistle, the competition has provided a platform for young footballers to showcase their talents, gain competitive experience and attract the attention of coaches, scouts and football stakeholders.

The grand finale between Lightning Stars FC and St Patrick FC is therefore expected to be more than just a battle for the trophy.
