CAF Club Competitions Get Dates

..As Rangers, Rivers UTD, 3SC Await Opponents 

The Confederation Of African Football CAF, has released the calendar for the CAF Champions League And CAF Confederates Cup competitions for the 2026/27 season.

According to a release made public by the African Football body, the tournaments will commence in September 2026 while the finals will hold on in July 2027.

Enugu Rangers, Rivers United, Shooting Stars Sports Club and winners of the 2026 President Federation Cup between Ikorodu City and relegated Elkanemi Warriors will represent Nigeria in this seasons CAF Champions League And Confederations Cup.

• TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds to kick off in September 2026
• Group stages scheduled between November 2026 and January 2027
• Finals of both competitions to be played during the period 9–31 May 2027
• Prize money of USD 6 million for the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League winners and USD 4 million for the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup champions remains in place

The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) has announced the match calendar for the 2026/27 season of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

The 2026/27 season will kick-off with the First Preliminary Round on 4-6 September 2026 (first leg), followed by the return legs from 11-13 September 2026. The Second Preliminary Round is scheduled for 16-18 October 2026, with the decisive return fixtures taking place between 23-25 October 2026.

Following the completion of the preliminary stages, the group phase of both competitions will begin at the end of November.

The Preliminary Rounds:

• First Preliminary Round: 4-6 September 2026 (First Leg)
• First Preliminary Round: 11-13 September 2026 (Second Leg)
• Second Preliminary Round: 16-18 October 2026 (First Leg)
• Second Preliminary Round: 23-25 October 2026 (Second Leg)

 

The Group Stage Fixtures have been scheduled as follows:

• Matchday 1: 27-29 November 2026
• Matchday 2: 4-6 December 2026
• Matchday 3: 18-20 December 2026
• Matchday 4: 8-10 January 2027
• Matchday 5: 15-17 January 2027
• Matchday 6: 22-24 January 2027

The Knockout Stage Fixtures:

• Quarterfinals: 26-28 February 2027 (First Leg)
• Quarterfinals: 5-7 March: 2027 (Second Leg)
• Semifinals: 9-11 April 2027 (First Leg)
• Semifinals: 16-18 April 2027 (Second Leg)
• Finals: 9-31 May 2027
