PRINCE CHIDIEBERE ONUOHA JOINS APC, SALUTES UZODIMMA’S SIX YEARS OF IMPACTFUL LEADERSHIP
The political landscape of Nwangele Local Government Area witnessed a major boost on Tuesday as renowned businessman, philanthropist and Chairman of First Mahi Babes FC, Prince Chidiebere Eze Onuoha, officially pitched his tent with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The high-profile chieftain was formally received into the ruling party during a brief but symbolic ceremony held at APC Ward 1, Abajah, where the Ward Chairman, Mr. Nwachukwu Michael Chidi, alongside other party executives, presented him with the party flag and insignia—signifying his formal induction into the APC family.
Describing Prince Onuoha as a “strategic and valuable acquisition,” the Ward Chairman said his entry into the APC represents a major political gain not just for Abajah Ward, but for Nwangele LGA and Imo State at large, noting that his influence, credibility and developmental mindset would further strengthen the party’s grassroots structure.
Speaking shortly after his admission, Prince Chidiebere Onuoha expressed profound satisfaction at joining the ruling party, attributing his decision largely to the six years of transformative governance by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
“I am delighted to be part of this great party,” Prince Onuoha said. “The sterling performance of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, especially his giant strides in security, infrastructure, human capital development, institutional reforms and economic revitalization has clearly demonstrated purposeful leadership worthy of support.”
He added that the governor’s people-centred projects and visible development across Imo State provided strong motivation for his alignment with the APC, assuring party leaders of his unwavering commitment to the party’s growth and success.
The ceremony attracted notable party leaders and community stakeholders, including High Chief Maurice Onwukwe, Hon. Pantheleon Anyanwu, Hon. Michael Nwachukwu, Hon. Pascal Iwuala, Lady Anthonia Ekezie, Hon. Sylvester Obi, Onuoha Calistus Esogwa, Odinaka Iwueze, Barr. Ekene Osuiwu, Chief Vernatius Chukwum, Dr. Uduchukwu Ugeri, Ugochukwu Diala, Ifeanyi Oledibe, among several others who came to witness the political milestone.
Prince Onuoha’s defection is widely seen as a significant political statement ahead of future engagements, reinforcing the growing influence of the APC in Nwangele and underscoring Governor Uzodimma’s widening acceptability across Imo State.
