It was pure scenes of jubilation, gratitude, and excitement at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, on Tuesday evening as Nigeria’s most successful football club, Enyimba FC, took delivery of a brand new Coaster Bus and Hummer Bus, courtesy of the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.

The gifts, which came as part of the Governor’s promise to the club to further motivate them following their thrilling Performances in the ongoing NPFL, have further cemented Dr. Otti’s reputation as a passionate supporter and committed patron of sports development in Abia State.

The arrival of the luxury buses sparked scenes of elation within the People’s Elephant camp, as players, officials, and supporters poured encomium on the Governor for his magnanimity and unwavering love for the club.

Enyimba Chairman and Nigeria’s legendary football icon, Ambassador Kanu ‘Papilo’ Nwankwo, who broke the news to the team during training ahead of their Matchday 8 clash against Kun Khalifat FC in Owerri, could not hide his delight as he commended the Governor for his consistent show of fatherly care.

“This is another great day in the history of Enyimba FC. His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, has once again demonstrated that he is not just a leader but a father to all. His love for Enyimba and passion for youth and sports development in Abia is unmatched. On behalf of the club, we say a big thank you to our Governor for this tremendous gift. It will go a long way in easing our travels and boosting the morale of our players and staff,” said the former Super Eagles captain.

Kanu further urged the players to remain focused, disciplined, and determined in their pursuit of glory this season, assuring them that the management would continue to prioritize their welfare and create an enabling environment for success.

“As a management team, we will continue to turn every stone to ensure Enyimba remains the pride of Abia, Nigeria, and the continent,” Kanu assured.

Governor Otti, who had earlier promised a ₦30 million cash reward to the team for their victory over Insurance FC, continues to win the hearts of Abians with his proactive approach to governance and visible investment in youth empowerment through sports.

The newly delivered Coaster Bus, specially branded in Enyimba’s royal blue, symbolizes not just a means of transportation but a mark of renewed hope and commitment to excellence. The accompanying Hummer Bus, designated for the team’s technical crew and officials, is expected to arrive in earnest.
