Imo PDP Salutes Candidates On Successful Publication of Their Names by INEC
— Says it again exposes gimmicks of impostors, confirms party's preparadness for polls
— Reiterates commitment to good governance
The Rt. Hon. Austine Nwachukwu-led Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), congratulates its three (3) Senatorial Candidates, ten (10) House of Representatives Candidates and twenty seven (27) House of Assembly Candidates following the official publication of their names and credentials as certified standard-bearers of the party in the upcoming general elections, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The party notes that the upload of their credentials after their seamless nominations on INEC portal and their subsequent publication by the electoral umpire puts a final nail in the coffin of impostors and fifth columnist who have been selling falsehood about the party's leadership and posturing as though there is another PDP other than the one led by Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed at the National level and Rt. Hon. Austine Nwachukwu in Imo State.
While we sympathize with unsuspecting members of the public who may have fallen prey for their games and were duped by them, we must assert that we indeed forewarned the public on many occasions not to have any dealings with them in the name of PDP, especially as we were fully aware that given PDP's age-long pedigree, massive success, overwhelming support-base and popularity, criminal elements who have no business with the party would sometimes try it use its name to achieve some nefarious goals.
Today, we are prepared for the upcoming general elections and are satisfied with the quality of our candidates in the State, as they are men of unimpeachable pedigree and competence who have consistently proven their credentials.
Therefore, Imo people should expect that supporting the party and electing its candidates across the board will engender good governance, responsive and people-centered leadership which the party has always stood for.
