Former Chairman of Heartland Football Club, Owerri, Hon. Chief Chibuzo Goodfaith Etuemena "Nwachimereze," has showered glowing tributes on his wife, Lolo Ugonna Vivian Etuemena (Ugobash), following her recognition for graduating with First Class Honours in Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom.

Chief Etuemena who is fondly called "Mr Bash" described the achievement as an extraordinary milestone that reflects his wife's unwavering dedication, resilience, discipline and commitment to academic excellence despite the challenges that accompany studying abroad.

Lolo Ugonna Vivian Etuemena was formally honoured on July 19, 2026, during a colourful ceremony at M4 Restaurant & Bar, 11 Dyche Street, Manchester M4 4BQ, where she received an award in recognition of her exceptional academic feat.

The award was presented by Mrs. Chizoba Vine Munonye (Asa One of Manchester), Chairlady of the Igbo Community Greater Manchester (ICM), before an audience comprising family members, friends and distinguished members of the Nigerian and Igbo communities in the United Kingdom.

In her presentation speech, Mrs Chizoba described Mr Bash as an intentional husband who knows how to celebrate his wife. She went on to add that the event was organized by the Bash to show how proud and excited he is with the wife's achievement while encouraging Lolo UgoBash to continue the excellent work she is doing and remain dedicated, focused and keep striving for excellence.

Adding a touching twist to the celebration, the event turned into a memorable surprise meticulously planned by Chief Etuemena himself, who kept the honour a secret from his wife until the presentation, leaving her visibly emotional and overwhelmed by the show of love and appreciation.

Speaking after the ceremony, the former Heartland FC Chairman said his wife's success is not only a personal victory for their family but also an inspiration to women, young professionals and students across Nigeria and the diaspora.

"Ugobash has always been a woman of purpose, determination and excellence. Watching her earn a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy fills me with immense pride. This recognition is richly deserved because she worked tirelessly for it."

He added that education remains one of the greatest investments anyone can make, urging young Nigerians never to relent in the pursuit of knowledge, irrespective of the obstacles they may encounter.

Chief Etuemena further commended the leadership of the Igbo Community Greater Manchester for recognising academic excellence and celebrating individuals who continue to make the Igbo nation and Nigeria proud on the global stage.

Friends and well-wishers who attended the event described the celebration as a fitting tribute to a woman whose commitment to excellence has continued to inspire those around her.

The recognition of Lolo Ugonna Vivian Etuemena adds to the growing list of Nigerians in the diaspora making remarkable strides in education and professional development, further reinforcing the reputation of Nigerians as high achievers across the world.

For Etuemena, however, the award was more than an academic honour it was a celebration of perseverance, love and the limitless possibilities that come with dedication to excellence.
