Enyimba Skipper, Paschal Eze Exudes Confidence Ahead of Kwara Clash

Elephant Park, the ancestral ground of league multiple winners, Enyimba FC will once again be agog this weekend as rejuvenated People's Elephant aim to return to winning ways when the "Harmony Boys" come to town.

Enyimba FC will on Sunday December 14th take on Kwara United in one of the NPFL matchday 17 encounters by 4pm.

The CAF champions League double winners who are condemned to win the tie in the past have met the Harmony Boys' in the top flight 23 times since 2009 earning 13 wins over the Ilorin side while Kwara United has 8 wins with 3 games ending in stalemate.

Irked by the narrow defeat they suffered in the hands of Remo Stars in Abeokuta, former Afonja Warriors defender, now captain of the Nine time league champions, Paschal Eze says he and his colleagues understand what is at stake and so have set their sight on the maximum points at stake, promising to make the fans happy come Sunday with a positive result.

"We assure them that come Sunday against Kwara United a victory for the maximum points.

"This is because we would want to end this year and the first stanza on a high and on a good note.

"The spirit in came ahead the encounter is high, the boys know what is at stake and we want to put a smile on the face of our fans.

"So I urge them to please continue to turn up en mass as they have always done for us because their support means a lot to us.

Coach Lawrence Ukaegbu will have young full back Joel Ezra and the couple make the start. Other players who back training with the team include, Ekene Awazie, Uwana Asuquo, Henry Ndedi and Emeka Onyema but may still be struggling with match fitness.
