Speaking exclusively to Enyimba Media before the team’s departure from Aba on Friday evening, the former Nigeria Junior International and member of the famed Soul ’88 squad expressed a charged optimism that has already re-energized the dressing room.

 “Yeah, I was asked to take over the team, which I have done. I’m excited at the prospects and the players are equally excited. They have given me their assurance to work hard and turn the club’s fortune around,” Ukaegbu said with quiet confidence.

A former Iwuanyanwu Nationale midfield maestro with professional stints in Europe, Ukaegbu brings a modern, disciplined approach he believes will spark Enyimba’s resurgence.

 “First and foremost, I will bring discipline, togetherness among the team and friendliness to make the team move forward,” he stated.
