Ndubuoke To Lead SWAN Imo Workshop On Ethics In Sports Reporting


The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Imo State Chapter, hereby announces a special workshop for its members, scheduled to hold alongside its general congress on Tuesday April 14th, 2026. 


In a press statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Cosmos Chukwuemeka and Secretary, Tunde Liadi, The workshop, themed “Balancing Truth and Loyalty: Ethical Responsibilities in Sports Reporting,” will be delivered by High Chief Fan Ndubuoke (Ezinwa Mbaise), a former President of SWAN, ex-Chairman of the Imo State Sports Commission, and former Chairman of the Imo State Football Association.


This session will provide valuable insights into the ethical demands of sports journalism, especially the need for journalists to remain objective while maintaining professional relationships within the industry. 


Drawing from his wealth of experience across various leadership roles in sports administration and journalism, Ndubuoke is expected to guide members on maintaining credibility, integrity, and balance in their reporting.


The leadership of SWAN Imo emphasizes that the workshop is vital for enhancing professional standards and reinforcing ethical conduct among members in an evolving media landscape.


Members are strongly encouraged to attend the general congress, which will precede the workshop, and actively participate in both engagements.


All activities will take place at No. 26 School Road, Owerri.
