ONUIMO LGA IS SPARKLING UNDER DR. PAUL EMEKA OBI'S ADMINISTRATION

  It is often said that when the righteous is on the throne, the people rejoice. This can be likened to the joy in the hearts of the people of Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State, who are today happy with the emergence of Hon. Dr. Emeka Paul Obi, the Executive Chairman of Onuimo Local Government Council.

  Since the inception of Obi's administration, the Local Government Area has witnessed stabilized security, as the administration has employed more than 100 experienced youths of the LGA to guide the place.

  In an interview with Dr. Obi, he said: "We have been able to stabilize security in Onuimo LGA. It was like hell when we came on board. Onuimo then was a free entry and exit of hoodlums. But today, things like that have vanished. We employed more than 100 experienced youths of the LGA and today it's a success history."

  The administration has procured 500 pieces of 2000waits each of solar powered lights, which are waiting for installation in various public places in the Local Government Area.

  Obi's administration during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New year celebrations, graded all nooks and crannies of Onuimo. Within this time, the Onuimo Local Government Council ensured that all those who came home for the celebrations enjoyed good road network.

  Dr. Emeka Paul Obi hinted thus: "One of the major challenges we face during the rainy season is bad road. We have mostly clayish soil and this negatively affect us during this season. To beat this and enable our people make use of roads for economic activities, we have spent much on road maintenance this rainy season, so much so that we pour heavy stones and hardcore consistently on them, to make the roads usable and passable by the people."

  Among other things, the dilapidated Council Hall has been re-roofed and it is on the verge of being elevated to be one of the best anywhere. Serious Perimeter Fencing of Council Secretariat is ongoing and near 90 percent completion.

  The Obi Council administration procured 25 motorcycles and other essential facilities and gadgets for use by the vigilante boys in operation.

   "Added to all these, we have ensured maintenance of general administration and face lifting of facilities within the Council Headquarters. We are at peace with our workers and various leaders of the LGA and most importantly, we are in harmonious relationship with the legislative arm." Emeka Obi added.

  His administration has erected more than nine billboards for boundary delineations and neon signs designations in strategic places. Currently, two culvert projects are ongoing and a renovation work is scheduled to soon begin at the Magistrate Court building in Eziama-Okwe, Onuimo LGA.

  The Executive Chairman Dr. Emeka Paul Obi further hinted that his administration has carried out varying degrees of human capital development involving the women and youths in sensitive areas of the Council's endeavours.

  Certainly, the humanistic personality Dr. Emeka Paul Obi, has come to rebuild Onuimo Local Government Area and he has demonstrated that by the huge achievements he has recorded within this period he has been in the saddle as the Executive Chairman of Onuimo Local Government Council.
