IMO COMMUNITY DECLARES N10M BOUNTY ON FUGITIVE OVER ALLEGED GAY ACTIVITIES

 

Tension is rising in Amandugba community of Isu Local Government Area following reports that residents have placed a staggering ₦10 million bounty on one Mr. Ifeanyi Charles U., who has been declared wanted over his alleged involvement in homosexual activities described as a "taboo" by community leaders.

According to sources close to the village leadership, Mr. Charles — was alleged to have been the ring leader of the alleged activities in 2023 — fled the community after a police swoop that reportedly led to the arrest of at least 15 persons, while over 25 other suspected accomplices remain on the run.

Community insiders further alleged that Charles not only took part in the acts but allegedly “initiated” others, sparking widespread anger among indigenes who claim he brought shame and “an abomination” to the land. His current whereabouts remain unknown, with speculation rife on whether he is hiding within Nigeria or abroad.

Leaders of Amandugba, in what appears to be a coordinated manhunt, have reportedly vowed to track him down, while promising a ₦10 million cash reward to anyone with credible information that could lead to his capture.

Since his disappearance, no confirmed sighting has been reported, fuelling further mystery. Villagers say their determination is to “uproot the evil seed” they allege he planted in the community.

Security operatives are yet to officially react to the bounty declaration, but sources say the matter may soon attract law enforcement attention given the volatile nature of the situation.

This development has sent shockwaves across Imo State and beyond, as concerned observers warn of the dangers of vigilante justice while the fugitive remains at large.
