Imo Education Secretary, Dame Azubuike Warn Students Against Indecent Dressing To WAEC Exam
In a bid to check sharp practices and compromise from supervisors and invigilators at the on-going WAEC exam, the Executive Secretary Imo State Secondary Education Management Board SEMB, Dame Augustina Azubuike, monitored the exam in some schools.
She warned students against indecent dressing to the examination hall.
Our source disclosed that the SEMB Boss was visibly angry in one of the exam centres when she saw an SS3 student in exam hall with plated hair and putting on a pepper red attachment on her hair. The source further told our correspondent that a male student was similarly spotted with dreadlocks on his hair.
According to the source, the Executive Secretary warned the students and blamed the Principals and Teachers for neglect to duty, stressing that any Principal found incompetent to handle his or her school, will be relieved of her duty and replaced with a more committed person.
She urged the students to take their studies serious so as to pass their examination, pointing out that some day they will get tired of plaiting hair.
It was gathered that the SEMB Secretary monitored WAEC Mathematics exam in Girls Secondary School, Akwakuma, Community Secondary School Orogwe, Comprehensive Secondary School Obinze, Comprehensive Secondary School Avu, and Government Secondary School Owerri.
