First Mahi Babes Shifts Attention To NWFL Championship, Aims For Promotion

After suffering elimination from the President Federation Cup in the hands of more experienced Rivers Angels, First Mahi Babes FC will switch attention to the forthcoming NWFL Championship later this year.

Speaking with Infonews.com.ng in Aba recently after their ouster at the round 16 from the female Federation Cup, the clubs Technical Adviser, Benjamin Nwoko said he and his Girls will now focus on preparing ahead of the championship league games.

The former Heartland Queens and Abia Angels Gaffer said the clubs mission is to work hard with their game plans and tactics so as to pick a promotion ticket to the NWFL Premier cadre.

"Yeah, we enjoyed the Federation Cup run we had so far and the young ones had a good feel of what it looks like playing at the top level.

"Now we are shifting attention to our preparations for the NWFL Championship league which holds later this year.

"It's our desire to work hard and pick a promotion ticket. We know it won't be easy but with hard work and discipline it's possible.

"We are expecting a couple of players to join the side that played in the Federation Cup and hopefully we can gel into a better and stronger side, the former Heartland FC keeper trainer said.
