Excitement As Imo Referees Clash In Novelty Football Match

It was a historic moment for referees in Imo State on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium,  Owerri those who obtained Grade One 2018 Downwards took on those who got Grade One in 2019 upwards in an exciting encounter that attracted both the young and old in the council. The display showed that apart from handling matches, the game showed that the referees are also active footballers with immense skills in the round leather game. 

The match had in attendance the new  Director of Sports in the State who was the Special Guest of Honour as well as senior referees and  elders of the council. While the council chairman, Mr Santus Okoro was obviously around to felicitate with the members, the immediate past Chairman, Prof Success Anyanwu and elders like Emeka Nwokorie were also on ground.
