Enyimba FC Celebrates Christmas With Orphanage Homes
In the spirit of the Yuletides and celebration of the birth of Christ towards advancing love and humanity, Enyimba FC marked this year's Christmas celebration with Orphanage homes in Aba.
Inspired by the giving and human capacity building of the club Chairman, Amb Kanu 'Papilo' Nwankwo, the players and some management staff of the club visited threes Motherless Homes, Father Basil Motherless Home, Jubilee Road, Seventh Day Advantist Motherless Home and Joyrita Motherless International Foundation Abayi, Aba with various food items and other confectionaries for children's welfare.
In a massage of celebration and support from the Chairman, Board members and the entire team delivered to the homes through the clubs media Head, Orji Sampson, the exercise is a ritual that has since been enshrined in the club's activities especially during special periods like Christmas which is inspired by Amb Kanu Nwankwo's humanitarian gesture specially for the less privileged.
He maintained that the club as a house hold name in the NPFL and Africa carries out the exercise as a way of reaching out to the society and larger community including fans of the club as part of the club's social responsibility.
In their respective responses, Mr Godwin Chima, Manager of the Joyrita Motherless International Foundation home, Mrs Joyce Chibuike - Nurse in charge (SDA) as well as the Matron in charge of Father Basil Home expressed their delight at the humanitarian gesture of Enyimba FC and their management praying that God will continue to lead and direct them in all their endeavors and continue to uplift them in their aspirations especially in their football business.
