Amb Ogbonna Salutes Amuneke, Heartland FC On Well Deserved Away NPFL Victory

The Imo State Sports Commission Chairman, Hon Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna "Ambassador" has congratulated Coach Emmanuel Amuneke and Heartland FC over their first away league victory of the season.

The Naze Millionaires as they are fondly called on Sunday recorded their 3rd win and 1st away win in NPFL 2024/25 season when they humbled Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia in one of the match day 10 encounters.

In a heart warming congratulatory massage, Amb Ogbonna described the win as a meritorious way of bidding iconic and former financier of the club then known as Iwuanyanwu National a befitting farewell.

He reiterated his optimism that the team under Coach Amuneke will certainly bring back the glorious days which is why His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Imo state, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzidimma "Onwa Oyoko" bestowed his faith in him when he named the former Super Eagles Winger and Barcelona legend the club's Technical Manager.

He however urged the team not to relent in their oars even as the gear up for the next game against Sunshine Stars of Akure noting urging the players to stay focused and disciplined with their routine programme.

The former Italian Seria A player also used the opportunity to state his mission and vision of making the Imo State Sports Commission more active than ever with youth programmes in line with Shared Prosperity/3R mantra to give the youths a platform to excel with their talents.
